Water inspires me. I love working with it and looking at it. “The Bay” provides a different feeling and expression each time I gaze at it. I started this piece in May and after many layers of liquefied acrylic it was completed at the end of summer.

Whirlwind I – 20″ X 20″
This painting was easily named. When I looked at the finished piece I felt the action and force of a whirlwinds movement. The calming grey and blue tones add a peaceful element.

Waterfall Splendor – 18″ x 18″
The entire appearance of blue in this painting is peaceful, calm and gentle, but the movement displays the tremendous reverence and respect one has to give the waterfall and its power.

Beach House – 32″ x 16″
The Beach Houses stand so sturdy against the onslaught of the waters elements. I wanted to capture the strength of these houses along with the summer seasonal colours often associated with homes near the water. The bricks erosion just makes them more interesting.

Serendipity – 30″ x 22″
The soft neutral colours in “My Magic” and “Serendipity” create a relaxing atmosphere. The calmness also allows the richness of textures and materials to shine through. The touches and placement of the green and gold provides movement and works to make a harmonious piece.
Each painting can stand on their own or place together to create a diptych.

Nothing But Blue Skies – 30″ x 30″
Living near the water has definitely influenced this piece. I often drive along Georgian Bay and all I see are blue skies… smiling at me.

Luna I – 60″ x 48″
LUNA is a large (“96×48”) diptych created using two 48”x60” gallery canvases. This bold and powerful piece is reminiscent of the divine embodiment of the moon. She is responsible for the rising and falling of the ocean tides – the movement of the ocean. Life is liquid and the dark colours and iron oxide capture the strength of these forces. The light interference and iridescent colours add the contrast of the foaming tides as they curl inwards. . If interested in purchasing LUNA please leave your contact information and I will return inquiries promptly.
